banana magic this year vs last year - Snowboarding Forum

Is there any difference between last years banana magic and the one coming out this year?

I currently have last years 157 and was thinking of downsizing to this years 154 since I lost some weight. But if there is no real difference with the exception of length not sure if it is worth it.

No idea about the difference - but that sounds like a crazy idea unless you're gonna sell the old one! Even then ..... just get a different board!

Between what people are offering me for the 157 compared to the new price of the 154, I would lose $150. $150 would be worth it if there were real changes that made the board better, but if it's the same board just different size I wouldn't do it.

Initially I was set to the T. Rice but now thinking about the Banana Magic as well. Don't know wether to go for 154 or 157. I'm leaning towards the 154 but 157 might be better. Any ideas? 5'11 tall and 175 lbs.

i have last year 157 magic. love love love this board! i need to demo a t.rice hp 161.5 and compare the 2 boards cause the trice also sounds real good fit for my freeriding ways.. Even so i would prolly keep both. I have ridden skate banana 159.

skate nana= park, goofin around, pow
t.rice= freeride/all mtn/pow... mainly freeride
magic= somewhere in the middle of these 2, but closer to t.rice.

anyone who has ridden all 3 these boards... is the above fair assesment?
