As you can tell by the title I have had my board a while (5 years) and it's finally given up the ghost. In the meantime they seem to have changed snowboarding and so I'm demoing everything I can.
Tried a rocker board in NZ and it felt ok but a bit tame. Tried a zero camber rocker back in the UK and it's all just a bit like a gentle walk in the park. I get what they're doing with the boards but it just aint for me. Tried out a Burton Custom Flying V which was a step in the right direction but still short of the mark. I like the board a bit nastier - something that will chew me up and spit me off when I try to cruise but will just keep on giving when you give it the beans. Anyone got any recommendations for other boards I should demo? I am a punter riding 2-3 weeks a year so not the big backcountry and not the huge booters. I do ride some park and have recently started playing in the pipe. Cheers for any help Vom. |
