Rome Blue for the beginner girlfriend? - Snowboarding Forum

Haven't found many reviews on it, but it seems like a good all-around board for a woman. Looking to buy my gf a board: she's 5'7, 120lbs and can now link turns. I'm looking at the 147. I'm concerned that the board will be too advanced for her and too hard to control or something. Does anyone have an opinion of this board for her skill level?

Or should I buy a beginner board (like the burton lux or something) then buy her the advanced board if she gets a lot better?

btw it's my first post here and everyone seems very helpful. Thanks for any advice.

Thanks. I like the idea of saving money and going straight to an advanced board that will last a long time, rather than buying a beginner board then an advanced one later. decisions to make...
