Hey,
Got back into riding after a 5 year lay-off (shoulder injury) and I picked up an Arbor Mystic 158 that seems to be in pretty good shape. Rode it last season and really enjoyed myself. My questions; 1. Anyone know anything about this board? Since there's not much info on it , I'm assuming it's 5-6 years old. I'm not really a park guy (would like to learn a little, but am more into carving down the hill). Is this board a good fot for me? Is other, newer stuff out there much better? 2. Would a newer board (advanced technology, I assume) mean a better, more enjoyable ride for me going forward? Some info: 6'1", 180 lbs. Felt pretty comfortable keeping up with my snowboarder friends last season. Went about once a week to a variety of New England resorts (Sunapee, Sunday River...) Thanks. |

Do you NEED a new board, no I'm sure your board will work fine. But, do you WANT one, sounds like it and that is okay. It is true that a newer board with GOOD hybrid rocker/camber technology will likely mean a better, more enjoyable ride but like others have said on this forum it's 90% rider, 10% gear.
