What's the deal with this board? What does it compare to in other company's lines? Has anyone ridden it? Recommend it?

The deal is that it has the sickest graphics ever put on a board. Definitely a big hit in the ski bum shred towns. The board just isn't for me though.... too bad!

It compares somewhat to the BSOD. there was some confusion on whether or not it was stiffer than the BSOD. The answer is that it is slightly stiffer. It is same rocker profile as the BSOD it just has a little less tech.

While I like the graphics in theory, its not my style and I would go with the BSOD over the Fk'n Awesome

So is the profile basically CamRock?

yeah similar to camrock. camber in middle, reverse camber outside the inserts, kicked up tips.

Rode the 61 last season, rad quiver killer any condition board.

Comparable to other freestyle mid-wide Hybrid Camber twin boards, such as Lib TRice, NS Proto. Camber theory is basically the reverse of Never Summer and LIB with camber between the insert packs, finishing the tips and tails with reverse camber and flat kick. Has a third "Death Grip" contact point that does not feel as catchy or hooky as MTX.

With the camber between the feet, it rides like a camber board but has the forgiveness and float of Reverse Camber/FK. Its Stiffer (7/10) than the BSOD (6/10) because of the core used which is a thicker, and has a Radial sidecut instead of the Progressive with the Death. Personally I prefer the stiffer core and radial sidecut of the TFA to the Death. Check it out if you are looking for an all mountain freestyle hybrid twin.

Those boards aren't really comparable when the camber profiles are completely opposite. And the Proto isn't a mid-wide.
