So today I took a little drive up to a very good snowboard shop. Glad I did too! Picked up my new boots for a wicked price...and fell in love with Never Summer boards. I was first going to get an Arbor Wasteland. Fuck that, I want a Never Summer!!
My Stats: Weight: 210 Height: 5'10 Boot Size: 11.5 (29) I want to get a SL 158. Will it accompany my boot size? |

Mmm damn. They didnt have any Legacys...I will either have to wait til early November for them to get the 2012 stuff, or buy online. I'd rather buy online right now, as that store is goina get swarmed when it comes in, and dont feel like competing for a board.

Any shop worth a damn should be able to contact their brand rep, check their order to see if they have what you want coming in, and hold the board for you if you commit to buy it. The shop near me doesn't even require a deposit, some other shops will take a deposit or might even sell it to you "backordered".

...Well I cant really commit to buy just yet, as I dont know if I need a SL or Legacy. They will hold the board for a deposit, but apparently they already have people who pre-ordered since March, and they get the boards first.

Well with a size 11.5, I can almost guarantee you will be on the Legacy. The Legacy and Revolver aren't really full wides so they should be fine for a size 11.5 but you may be able to get away with an SL on the longer ones.

...Well shit, guess i'll drive back up to a different store that is way bigger. They carry NS. But cant get them on the phone. Hopefully they will have Legacy and SL so I can compare the two. I'll bring my boots also. What should I look for? Like how will i know if its too small or too big? Especially without bindings on...

They can throw some bindings on the deck to at least strap your boots in even if they don't mount them. The shop employees should be able to help you but you typically want equal toe and heel drag boot to binding and boot to board edges. About 0-1cm of overhang is always what I've gone with with your whatever your stance set is. Some other people profess other methods but that's just what I've used and it works for me.

i rode a 161 M3 with a waist width of 251mm. I wore size 12 celsius cirrus boots and never had any problem with overhang. stance i think whats 22.5 15/-15. just saying.
