Jib Stick - personal recommendations? - Snowboarding Forum

Hey all,

thinking about hooking up a jib stick. Probably demo'ing the Never Summer Evo and I've got the option to get a deal on the Ride Kink.

Just wondering what people's personal recommendations are - stuff for me to take a look at?

I loved my NS evo, very fun board all around. Great to jib with, presses are effortless. Pretty decent outside the park too, for such a soft board. I've also heard good things about the Academy Propaganda.

As You're European, You may well take a look at Volkl stuff, like Jibster SQD..

Demo the Evo if you can. I did half a day on one last season and thats all it took. I've had two kinks that have been beaten to death on rails and as much as I loved them, the evo was a more versitile board. It didn't sacrafice anything on the jibs, but outshined the kink on jumps and casual cruising.

K2 WWW, Signal Park, Bataleon Evil Twin, DC PBJ and the Park Pickle are my picks. I like a stiffer-than-noodle jib board (i know, shocking right?), hence the pbj, evil twin, and pickle

PBJ was a noodle to me.

Jib only? Signal Rocker light, Bataleon Disaster, Ride Kink, K2 WWW, Nitro Haze.
Park Jib (I.E. useful elsewhere)? Signal Rocker Light, Nitro Swindle, Salomon Drift Rocker, Flow Verve, Ride Kink.

Rocker light is 3 stage. I don't know the total uplift, but basically about 2-3 cm after the inserts you get 5* of lift. Half of the regular Rocker. It's comparable to pretty much the rest of the industries 3 stage rockers.

Looking forward to demo'ing the Evo. Have considered the K2 WWW for a while now, and the Rome Artefact too. I tried a Volkl Squad ages ago - used to own the "flex 4" variety and wasn't that fussed - but apparently the flex 3 was a lot better.

The Ride boards could be a good option too.
