Help Selecting My First Snowboard Boots

So the major consensus is that I need to try on boots in order to determine the best ones. I did so, but the only store in the area has a severely limited selection. I was able to determine, however, some features that I do and do not like.

Forum Recon - no cushioning in the front of toes

Ride Anthem - too much flex, felt like there was hardly a bottom sole to the boot which isn't comfortable. LOVE the lacing system.

Burton Ion - HATE the Speed Zone lacing system.

Burton The White Collection - Fit me the best.. I LOVE how the boot holds onto the heel! However, there was a weird feeling above my front left toes. I like the liner used.

Burton Driver X - much too stiff.

There weren't any BOA boots in the store so that was unfortunate. Hopefully someone can offer good insight into that system. So can anyone suggest alternative boots like the Burton White Collection, which had great cushioning and heel hold, or ones that have the Ride Anthem lacing system or similar? Detailed comments would be great, but I'm open to any and all suggestions! Thanks.

A handful of people have suggested Salomon boots to me. I'm glad to see that there's that general consensus. However, no one has really been able to recommend a particular Salomon boot model. Are there any that are exceptionally better in terms of the comfort of the lining, waterproofness, warmth, etc.?

well, i;m currently in the position of trying to buy a pair of boots. There is 1 store for my wife and i to get anything that even relates to snowboarding within a 2 hour drive. We tried on boots at the end of our last boarding trip, found ones we liked, and we were going to get them online, since we were about to hop a plane outta there. weeks later i;m on my second pair of the EXACT boots that fit great in the store. the last pair has a pretty bad pressure point that makes them painful in the first couple minutes. long story to say: I'm pretty well set on finding and buying the next pair that fits in person, cuz even the same boots, well, just aren't the same. finding boots online that work have been a really lame crap shoot for us.

I have the salomon dialogues. they are great in every respect. the only complaint I KINDA have, and its not such a big concern, is that the toe area feels pretty packed out compared to new. I would say I have about 20 days on them but they are holding up great and I expect them to last me AT LEAST through the season...

I've been trying on a lot of boots this past weekend. Out of seventeen boots that I've tried, only the Burton Ruler, Burton White Collection, Nitro Barrage, Nitro Team, and Nitro Darkseid have fit well and comfortably. However, none of the boots I tried included any of the K2, Salomon, Northwave, nor Vans models. Can someone comment about these brands - in particular, how they fit in comparison to the Burtons and Nitros that seem to fit me well? I'm especially interested in the K2 T1 and the Salomon F20/22/24.

All of the ThirtyTwo boots were too wide. I have narrower and overall smaller feet, especially at the heels. The two Burtons I listed above fit the best while the three Nitros fit well, but slightly less well than the Burtons. Thanks for the help!

i own the burton white collection boots. im a size 9.5 shoe/sneaker/everything, and i bought a size 9 for the boots and it cramped the crap out of my toes (the ones on the outside, the "pinky" toes). i took them back and exchanged for a 9.5 and they still do it, albeit not so much that i cant take the discomfort

im wondering if i should get a size 10 or go riding a couple more times and hope it packs out...

I just bought a pair of the k2 t1. I was reccomended them by the shop kid... tried them on. They were snug yet comfortable, no pressure points so I went with them. Alos the boa system on the side seems to work well. Keep in mind I have yet to use these boots.
