Hey guys,
I am pretty new to the forums and I'm looking for a little bit of advice. I am looking to own my own gear and wondering what recommendations you all have. I am planning to go only about 8 days a year or so, at least (2 trips). Is it worth owning my own equipment? I was thinking that it would pay off after 2 trips or so. I had heard that the boots are probably the most important of the gear. Is that true and is that where I should be looking to spend the most money? I am semi new to riding, I would put myself into the intermediate category probably. Also, does anyone have any tips on what gear I should look at. Don't have a very large budget, but definitely would like to get some good equipment. Mostly I am just looking for some tips about what all I should be looking at, and how I should be looking, for gear. I will probably stick to the slopes mostly, no huge interest in park stuff. I am about 6'2" 190 pounds and have a 12 shoe size. Thanks a lot! |

I agree with checking out whiskeymilitia.com they have boards pop up all the time. Just install the add-on and you will have a small pop up in the corner show briefly with the new special. Gear cycles through there about every 30 min. For boots I just got some Nike's and they are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. I recommend that you go to a shop and try them on though. Boot sizing is very very important.
