Hey,I'm new to the forum, and am seeking a little advice. I am 6'2" and about 150 lbs with a size 13 boot, I currently ride a k2 155cm anagram. I know it's an intro level board, and I am looking to step it up a little this year. I spent all last season in the parks in eastern north carolina, where we get mostly ice and the snow is never deep. However, I'm going to montreal this year for college fest. I was wondering if my anagram's camber shape will hold up in powder? and I'm looking to upgrade my board anyway, and I want a park board, am very interested in the rocker/reverse camber technologies, especially because I already have a camber board that I plan on keeping. my buddy rides a park pickle he got last year and loves it. so I'm leaning torwards that board. any other's to consider? I've heard the rome machete is a pretty good ride too, also saw a few reviews about the k2 Happy Hour, which looks sick but I'm not sure if it's gonna do what I want it to in the park. what I really liked about my buddy's riding when he switched to the park pickle was how easily he pressed the board (i'm thinking due to it's rocker shape) on boxes and rails, and how well it handled rails and spins in general.
Any input would be GREAT. Thanks Last edited by laXfever34; 10-15-2011 at 10:13 AM. Reason: needed to provide boot size |

you should probably be fine using a mid-wide board of ~256 or so millimeters, AND/OR, you should definitely be fine using a full-on/true-wide board of ~260 or so millimeters... It's obviously safest going with a true-wide board though with those big ol' 13s of yours, but then again you may very well be just fine on a mid-wide board which would have--like any narrower board would have--the added benefit of quicker edge to edge transitioning... So a board similar to the x8 that comes wide enough would be what? I want something I CAN take out of the park, that's soft, rocker, forgiving, buttery, etc. What would you suggest? I'm willing to spend a good bit of money if I have to in order to find the perfect board, but i'm not opposed to less expensive or even getting a used older model. Any thoughts?

I don't know very much about either this or last season's boards, but I'm pretty sure that there are others that can and will offer you some suggestions--just be patient... Last edited by PATKOUG; 10-19-2011 at 12:10 PM. |

With that big a boot your going to want to look at a wide board. It may be a little stiffer but you won't get any heal or tow drag. The ride dh is a good all around do it all board. I has a medium flex good pop. It will handle rails jumps boxes. And you can find it in different cambers. The DH is traditional or if ya want a rocker combo type the DH2 has rides prorize rocker witch is a subtle rocker.
