Hey guys, I've been snowboarding a bit for a couple years now, but always renting, and so I actually want to buy a board now. I'm looking for something between $200 and $300, preferably on the lower side. I'd rather have it new, but if it's used that might be ok too (or if it is new but from last year or something). I'm about 5'11 and 140lbs so I guess it should be between 155-160 cm, but I don't really know much about this so I could use your help. Most importantly, I already have size 12 boots, so I'm gonna need a wide board. I've been looking around on the internet and have found a few things, but I really just don't know how to decide for a pretty big purchase like this.
Any suggestions at all would be appreciated

Gnu Board Gnu CHB Wide MTX SCND
Maybe look into that - its wide and has MagneTraction if you're from somewhere with a lot of ice. Bindings on the site are pretty cheap as well, as many are 40% off... Burton Board Burton Custom Second Custom for $250 as well. And I wouldn't worry about them being seconds.

you need to pick your board based on what type of riding you like to do. since you're in cleveland i doubt you're doin freeriding, i could be wrong tho, so either all-terrain or freestyle. i wear size 12 boots and i ride a nitro magnum and i really like it. i've seen a lot of sales on boards around the internet recently, so just look around and check out the specs on the boards, the manufacturers' websites usually have pretty specific descriptions. rome, burton, ride, never summer, nitro, gnu, are all brands i've heard really good things about.
