Default Custom Flying V?

So pretty much I'm having a Mid-Youth-Crisis and heading to Hakuba at the end of the year for two monthes despite being essentially a beginner (siiiiiked).

I've bought my first board, the 163 Burton Custom Flying V 2011, my only concern comes from what I've heard about how the board handles in icy conditions: e.g. Burton Custom Flying V Snowboard Review - Board Insiders 2011 snowboard reviews - YouTube - watch from 1:33

So my question is how much of a factor can I expect this to be? I've heard Hakuba has the steepest snow in Japan - just not too excited by the prospect of being out out of control on some epic mountain (especially given my weight 105kg, or around 230 pounds).

I'll be doing 99% of my riding in Happo One and I'm there to ride pow, not really interested in park.

Oh and a side question, I'm around 6'2 1/2 - the 163 should be fine yeah?

Thanks in advance, as you can probably tell I'm pretty new to this - just want to make sure everything's right for my big trip!
