arbor draft or artifact rocker?? - Snowboarding Forum

I've ridden artifacts for the past 5 years now. Reg camber. I am 90% park. Urban when it snows.. Etc. I rode a capita fk last year and hated it. I couldn't control the board. I really think by going rocker, I might have more fun and certain things will be easier.

any opinions on the 2? I don't mind the bronze edges, I've ridden them for 3 years now.

Do you know what Capita board you rode last year? FK is the abbreviation for Flat Kick, which is the nose/tail profile, it does not determine the rocker profile. Chances are whatever you rode was some combination of flat and rocker and if you didn't like that, you probably won't like the Draft either (more rocker between the feet and less rocker from the inserts out).

I would suggest the Garage Rocker over the Artifact Rocker because it has more flat than rocker. Which makes for a better ollie, but either are good. Maybe look at the Forum Contract too. It has pop cam which is camber (between the feet) and flat (under foot), good for ollie power and beefy on rails.

it was the horrorscope. It felt like I had no contact point under the feet, more like one contact point, which was in the center, and I hated it, not stable at all, rode for 3 days and still could not adjust to it. I've been riding for 9 years, every board has been reg camber. I'm a little worried I will just hate any alternative camber board. Arbors system attracted me

I'm giving Griptech the ol' college try this season. I don't think you'll have a problem with edge hold. A lot of the Arbor team sends it on 40+ on the Draft so there's certainly no limitation to the board as far as grip. If you can throw it the board can probably handle it.

Another one to take a look at is the Salomon Drift Rocker. Mid to mid-soft park flex, full reverse camber and Rocqualizer/Equalizer side cut. They both use the idea of unblended tri-radial side cuts to put additional contact points around the binding insert packs.

The Drift Rocker is $350 but you lose the power ply topsheet.

The draft is rawsome for park urban, and flatter resort runs (if you bonk everything) it's kind of like....everything you'd want in a board like that.

What's your size? If you're small, I have Draft 149.5, I'd let go for cheap (2010).

Fair enough.

How much to you weigh though? (I'm not trying to sell you the board.), but if you're 150 or less and getting ultra jibby. I think smaller boards are titties.

155. I've ridden 49 and 50, but I actually ride more comfortable on a 53..
ha, ultra jibby.. I like that term.
