Hey everyone,
I've been using my brother's Forum f10 157 for a year and I hate it. It's feels way too big for me so I'm looking to buy a CHEAP smaller board. Some boards I've found are M3 Free, Morrow Radium, Airwalk Format, and 5150 Dynasty. I know all of these are lower end/cheap brands, but I'm wondering if (for a beginner) they would still be better than the rental boards. Would it be worth it to buy one at a good price? If you're a beginner, nothing wrong with grabbing a cheap board that is more suited to your size. I would err on the side of getting something used in decent shape for cheap, that way when you get a better board down the road the first one won't feel like much of an investment. You don't necessarily have to get a cheap brand board either, there are deals to be had on boards that are 3+ years old from higher-end manufacturers. Snowboards are infamous for losing their value tremendously fast.

They also blow out some Artecs and Stepchild boards on Whiskey pretty frequently.
Check c3-shop.com they've got a section of used demo boards, most of them are 155cm or smaller I think, all around $200 and in generally good condition (but not brand new). Evo.com also has a selection of used/demo boards. It's really hit or miss. There are usually some good deals on used equipment to be found on geartrade.com check that site out and then if you find some boards you like, come back here & list them everyon can give you better feedback/reviews then.

I'm not in the states
I'm in Canada.... So I found a really good deal on a new (last year's) M3 Convoy 150cm. I bought it but I have 30 days to return it. What do you guys think? Obviously it's not the best board, but for the price and amount of times I go up per year I figured it was a good deal. Last edited by shreddinitup; 10-23-2011 at 06:07 PM. |
