Looking for all-mountain freestyle

Later this season when boards start getting their clearance stickers slapped on them I plan on setting up my park oriented ride.

I'm looking for a true-twin with tons of pop. I don't want a noodle of a board, something leaning towards a mid-flex that still allows easy butters. Jibbing is an afterthought; don't care much for it, but I'll hit them between kickers. Lastly edge-hold is important as hardpack is usually what I'll have to deal with.

I have my eye on the Bataleon Evil Twin and Arbor Westmark. I'd like to try whatever Capita has to offer, but I really don't know much about their boards. Any and all suggestions to other boards of similar type are welcome as I'll try to demo them this year.

Since you ride hardpack, you're going to want a board with Magne Traction, like something from Lib Tech. A Capita Stairmaster would be good for you as well. If you're looking into Bataleon, the Evil Twin would sound good as well.

Thanks for nod towards the Stairmaster, the extreme variant looks like it's a bit stiffer which might be more my thing so I'll keep my eye out for it.

You cannot go wrong with the Westmark! Its got grip tech, great pop and definately far from noodle like.

Throwing something new in the ring with the Rome mod rocker. Tons of pop and a nice soft flex when needed and plenty to handle to big booters as well

JL Said,
bump for my question

If you had a choice: 2012 Evo or 2011 Westmark?

Angrysnowboarder Said,
I do have a choice and I have a 2012 Evo that answer your question?

The Blacklist is a different story.

Either way both sticks would be awesome. It's like picking between two flavors of ice cream. Can't go wrong, it'll be good. i have an evo now. But will look to get on a Westmark before the season's over. Particularly interested in the difference between the RC/vario vs parabolic rocker/grip tech.

Ya, I have a NS SL so I want to get on a different board with different tech for a 2nd board. As I let it sink in about which board I wanna get, the more I want to get my hands on an Arbor board. Hope I can hop on the Westmark or even a Coda to get a side by side comparison with my SL.
