Hi guys,
I'm on a ~$400 budget and need help buying a decent, inexpensive clearance snowboard/bindings online for the upcoming 2011-2012 season. I couldn't make the local ski/snowboard shows in Toronto, Canada so now I am left with very options... I'm not very picky and I just want a decent board that will fit my needs (skill level, budget, etc.) for the next 2-3 seasons and maybe leave me a little bit of room to grow and improve. I'll be visiting the States for some Black Friday shopping in 3 weeks so I was planning to order one online and bring it back to Toronto... Can you guys please kindly help me choose a suitable board and bindings? Some info about me: -Male, 6'0" (183cm), 167 pounds (76kg) -Salomon Savage SZ 10.0 boots (Flex 5/10) -Intermediate+ snowboarder for 3+ years -90% Resort, 10% park So I'm guessing I need a board length of somewhere between 155-159cm? And size M/L bindings??? Some clearance boards of interest I've seen (all within ~$250 budget but no idea if they are good): Dogfunk/Department of Goods/Backcountry - All Mountain Snowboards from Departmentofgoods.com Bataleon Omni, Signal OG, Salomon Grip Team - are any of these good? Trusnow - | Reviews and Sale at trusnow.com Burton Blunt for $300? Sierra Crew or Sierra Team board for $249 and package with Rome S90 bindings for only $100 more (normally $150) - Is this a good package deal??? ProBoardShop - Best Prices On Snowboards, All Brands Sapient Blitzschnell $250 Sapient Chris Coulter $250 Sapient Coast $250 Sapient Divide $250 Sapient Evolution $250 LTD Prodigy $230 Ride Agenda $240 Ride Kink $250 Rossignol Scope Midwide $248 Salomon Ace $240 Technine Icon Series $230 EVO (+extra 20% OFF) - http://www.evo.com/outlet-shop/snowb...s/rpp_200.aspx Burton Aftermath Rossi One Magtek Rossi Tapian Rossi Angus Rossi Angus Ride DH Ride DH2 Ride Manic Ride Antic Rome Graft Rome Cheap Trick Rome Graft Rocker Salomon Answer Salomon Riot Salomon Ace Salomon Titan Flow Team Bataleon Omni Bataleon Fun Kink Unity Origin MW Nitro Team Nitro Misfit Last edited by mtx; 11-07-2011 at 02:45 PM. |

the only good board you listed there was the bataleon omni, and its not THAT great.
look for past seasons flow verve or merc, or even the era, flow makes awesome boards. I just got shit lucky and picked up a 2011 verve for 180 bucks that had been ridden once by one of my buddies. Looks like a pretty solid board and it got great reviews! Other boards to consider would be Gnu carbon credit, older ride machetes, like I said, anything from flow really. goodluck! and for bindings look into k2 formula's or if you want a more park binding the k2 hurrithanes |

I'd say out of all of those the rides are the best. I would try some other boards though. Try some old Flows, Rome, NS, Forum or Nitro. I don't really know an all mountain setup except for something above your budget.

This NS is a little out of range but maybe you can throw an offer ~$350 and find some bindings for <$100 and you will only be $50 out of range and have a SICK setup. |

Check out this site 2011-Boards-Bindings I remember seeing boards & bindings in your size and price range but can't vouch for the accuracy, availability, etc. '09/10 models are under the clearance board/bindings section. If you have an address to use while you're in the states perhaps they can ship to you.
