I am in the market for a new snowboard and after looking around I have become very fond of the arbor snowboards. I am coming from a Burton custom x which is soon to break. I have been looking for another all mountain board. I was wondering if anyone here knew the differences between the arbor element rx, the coda, the wasteland, and the roundhouse rx. I know the element comes in a cambered version like the custom x but I am thinking about trying something new with a rocker board. Does anyone have any recommendations of one style vs the other. I am 5 foot 10 ish and weigh 160 pounds. I like to ride pretty much anything on the mountain but am not big on the park. I ride a little but not much. Everything else on the mountain I ride all the time. Where I ride there can be some good powder days. Any information/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

The Roundhouse is basically a wider Element for large footed riders. The Coda and Wasteland I'm not really sure, I'm more of a camber man myself. I get the impression that the Coda leans a little more towards powder and the Wasteland a little more towards park, but I'm really not that familiar with their Rocker line so certainly don't take that as gospel.

If you want something that would compare to your custom x I would go with the Element CX or the A-Frame if you want something more freeride oriented.
If you want something that is just fun and that you can take all over the mountain I would look at the Coda. If you want something that is in between I would look at the Element RX or the Wasteland. If I were you I would keep the custom x and get a coda. |
