Wow this is REALLY starting to tick me off. Being 6'4 at ~220lb is a biznatch and a half. AND having a size 14 shoe DOES NOT help at all either. Grrrrr!
For example, SAC has Salomon F-22's for 100 and change. But guess what, only up to size 12.5. Im also looking for a board for $225 or less, like a Rome Manual. O sure, a lot of places have them, for SMALLER sizes. A 162cm for me? Nahhh.... Ugh, if anyone finds a deal for a Manual or similar Rome for that price, buy it, and Ill pay you back. Same goes for boots >< /Rant

I realize that you're trying to save money by ordering online, but in your situation, it may be a good idea to go to a local shop and get them to order the gear you need.
Yea, you'll pay more, but maybe near the end of the season (now), you still won't have to pay retail. You can find Customs or Custom Xs, or more Burton wide boards in up to a 172 or so, but you're not gonna get much of a deal on them even if ordering online. |

@ 6'2", 225 & size 14's, I feel your pain. You gotta do some serious surfing to find deals on big stuff. I found a Rome Flag 168 for under $300 earlier this year.
Finding size 14's is a real bitch. I'm currently using Burton Moto size 15's & if I get any snow between the boot & board, I can't get the toe cap to hook up. I have Ride Anthems(sitting in the box) in a 14 & they are much smaller on the outside--I haven't tried them on yet, though. Good luck. |
