I am from Portugal and i am looking for a snowboard

I am 1.86m and 90kg and wear size 10.5 boots

My setup is:

Bataleon The jam 161
Cartel restricted and malavita
burton ION


I use the bataleon as my all board and i love it

But i was trying to go down a bit for a fun board that still could do everything

i came across the neversummer brand

And i am torn in PROTO Vs SL for 2012.... qhat do you think guys?

For my style of riding (not agressive most of time , grooms, powder , some small jumps and some speed ) will the PROTO be enough or the SL be better?


And syze...??

I would like to go about 159-160 and i hear the PROTO 157 has more efective edge than a 161 burton custom...

Does this mean i could go with a 157 PROTO or 158 SL ou better to up for 160 PROTO or 161 SL as a all do board?

update guys

got burton malavita and cartel restricted:

i am getting a proto CT 158 for the malavitas get them white or black?


And for the other board i was thinking of a SL ( 158 or 161 )? or should the HERITAGE would be better to complement the PROTO?

are the SL and proto a bit similar?

Grab the Heritage or... hell grab a Raptor. The SL is too close in characteristics to the Proto to have both.

He doesn't have an SL, he has a Jam.

I'd go for the Proto if you want something more playful. Of course I have no idea how the jam performs.

MAybe the SL and proto are much alike...

I have the option of ordering 2 boards for good price...

I am 1.86 m and 90kg...

I was into trying the PROTO and the SL as the more all round boards...

I have decided for the 157 PROTO.


And i was thinking of the 158 or 160 SL...

But i started thinking that the 2 boards could be much alike... so i sell one then ... or i buy 2 diferent boards now...

I think the raptor would be too much for me...

Ok guys the shop where i buy has this options...


SL 158 / 161 For my 1.86m , 90kg and 10.5 Could i use the 158 for all mountain everything or woulb be better with the 161? i dont do jibs and boxes...

Does the SL ride switch well?

they have the proto CTX 158 - will this be too much for my 10.5 burton ion? will edge to edge be much slower?

Or maybe the EVO 157? too soft?
