A friend of mine is about to purchase a Skatebanana, but he's unsure between the 149 and 152. We live on the east coast, and we mainly snowboard in North Carolina. My friend is 5'9 140 lbs. The GM at the local Peter Glenn store is telling him go with the 149 because we only ride on the East coast and it's mainly riding ice over here. He says riding a smaller board makes jumping and freestyle easier. A different guy is telling him to go with the 152 because it will be more all-mountain. My friend likes free riding, butters, presses, and jumps. He's looking for a board that he can do everything on. Which size would you recommend, and why??

The difference will be subtle. If I was getting a park stick only 149, especially if doing a lot of jibbing on urban features. For doing everything else (including bigger jumps like 25'+ tables or wedges) the 152 would be good. The fact he wants to freeride, even some, points to taking the 152. The longer effective edge and sidecut will just make it better.
