So I need a new board this season. I want something a little more on the all mountain side. Ive been looking at some lib tech and NS boards, but since I work at sportchek I can get a Ride Machete on discount for around 270$ Ive been riding for 13 years and Ive never ever had anything other than traditional camber. So I was just wondering what people thought about the machete, good first rocker board? Im not looking for something a little more poppy though, not a beginner board.
Any input is great. Last edited by Doug E. Fresh; 11-14-2011 at 01:01 AM. |

six minutes, six minutes you're on.
I have a ride highlife which is a stiffer version with less rocker in the tail. I love it and would recommend it/the machete. For that money the machete is very hard to beat IMO. |

I have a machete from 2010. It is pretty much the same thing as the new one. I have the 161W. The quality of the board is definently more than a $270 value. The rocker is not to crazy were when you are riding icy days it it still has a good amount of control. Though with the rocker it is definetly good for those powpow days.
If i was in you position i would get one from Lib with some magne traction, just because i have never had a lib snowboard. i have a lib snowskate and its great. |
