Yea so I'm about to order my 157 NS proto CT and I'm trying to decide the best boot/binding combo. I was thinking rome 390 boss bindings either red or white/black. Boots are up in the air.. been kinda looking t thirtytwo's. Just trying to get opinions on the best quality/looking setup to go with the board.

Here's the board:

I know alot of people here are 32 fans and 32 lashed is going to be suggested.... i took a looked a a 32 lashed today seems like a great boot but the sole of the boot worries me... i'm more a traditional rubber sole i can feel it has a strong grip type of guy... but the lashed soles seems a little "plastic" to me i think its due tot eh material they use... i'm sure they are great... just not sure how they hold up in snow personally....

you got a price range on your boots?

Nike Boots are worth a look i guess heard many good things on this forum about them
Burton mid flex boots if you dont mind the brand.. (grails, ions, rulers)
32 mentioned above the lashed is their staple boot

Your doing this backwards board last!!! First you choose the boots that fit your foot the best since they are the most important piece of the puzzle... Then you find bindings that fit the boot right... and then choose a board that matches your rididng style and one that your boot/ binding combo fits on. Since every boot is very different ( F20 size 11 = small Savage size 11= Massive)... Know you may have this planned out but if not just get the board bring it with you to try on boots find the best fit regardless of color and hope they don't hang to far off the board... then pick out bindings.

I would say... try on a bunch of boots and buy the ones that feel the best but are snug enough so when they pack out.. they will not be too big.
Bindings.. I am partial to burton bindings for my own reasons. That said, bindings are personal pref. Take into account stiffness, padding, quality straps and most of all... ratchets that work. If you ride a lot.. also take into account binding repair. That is another reason I ride burton bindings, burton is easily the largest and most popular company and therefore there is a ton of shops that will have burton repair kits with replacement ratchets and ladders.

Generic response I know... but seriously, buy boots that fit very well. No one will be able to tell you what boots will be best for you but YOU. We can only tell you what kind of things to look for in a fit.

EDIT - Just wanted to add.. I ride burton boots with my burton bindings. They are designed to fit/work together well.

I guess the hard part about tryng boots/bindings on is I live in louisiana.. Would you suggest buying boots/bindings when in Colorado when I go? I'm just skeptical on what options they would have as opposed to the internet which has everything.

Buying online is fine. Just expect to wait a bit. I have a terrible boot selection around here. Sometimes I can't find my size (split between 7.5 and 8 depending on brand).

Order from places that have great return policies and you're good.

Endless.com only carries 32 and DC. They provide free shipping, easy returns, and free shipping back to them. I just got a pair of 32 Prions today and they feel like heaven on my wide feet. Feet so wide they get pinched by K2 Maysis boots which are also supposed to be wide.
