Default 2011 Lib Tech Dark Series question

I just grabbed a 2011 Lib Tech Dark Series C2 Power BTX 164W at a show for a great deal on a whim without really knowing anything about the board. I'm 6'3 185. Anyone have a quick opinion for me on this board? I dont spend much time in the park but love powder and bombing groomers on the icy Sierra days.

I've been on a 164.5 TRice for the last few seasons btw

Also, considering the Burton Cartels (EST or no?) to pair with the Dark Series.

Thanks in advance,

Joe

Very similar board to the T-Rice. It has a few extra tech things that I don't fully understand which is what makes it even more expensive then the T-Rice.

I've ridden the 2011 Dark Series for one afternoon in powder/really good snow and loved it. I currently ride the 161.5 T-Rice and they seemed pretty similar.

If you like the TRice you'll like the Dark Series. However, the boards may be redundant.

Edit: What year is your TRice? Depending on the year, the C2BTX on the Dark Series may be the major difference.

EST is only for EST boards. Sounds like you scored the perfect board for what you do. Enjoy.

NO EST

i rented one at mt baker last year, it was rainign at the base and snowing up top with pretty much crap snow, it was super stable through all that crud and edge to edge response is crazy fast

the board pretty much rips, the only time it didnt want to hold an edge the best was going full tilt around a big radius turns in the slush, but i found that if i leaned back to put more pressure on the camber zones it would grip better.

im guessing you will probly like it better than the t-rice

I have non-EST Cartels and they rock on a few different boards. 3 years not a single issue and I love the comfort.

With the riding you are doing they will be perfect.
