board help

Hey guys, I know theresbeen a bunch of these threads but I could really use some help.

So my background in snowboarding is this; last year was my first season riding since I rode in middle school (sophomore in college now) and I picked up right where I left off. I'm on the east coast and ride mainly mt. snow and spend a good amount of time in the park (70/30). Last year I rode a stepchild latchkey ripper which was ok, I liked how playful and forgiving it was and it handled itself great on rails but I was looking for something a little more suited for all mountain. I am 5'8" 170 size 10 burton freestyle boot. I'm looking to drop between 4-500 on a new stick and bindings and want something oriented towards park, but still handle itself on icy days and when I take it on the rest of the mountain with limited chatter (this was my complaint of the stepchild).

I had my eye on the Verve flow and read some good things about it. Also my buddy works for a ski shop and gets 50-60% of forum hard goods so I'm really leaning towards that. any suggestions would be really appreciated!

(on a side note, I got out for the first time this season sunday at mt. snow.....had a blastt but man am I sore!)

I don't really think there is anything from Forum you'd really like. Verve is a solid option.

Also look at the Arbor Westmark or Blacklist.

yeah, i'm really leaning towards the verve. what would you suggest for bindings....are flow bindings really as bad as some people make them out to be?

Arbor westmark sounds like exactly what you want. The griptech will help grip the ice. Bindings- Rome boss 390s

Might be tough to fit the Westmark + Bindings into your budget. For 50% off FORUM absolutely makes plenty of boards that fit your needs. You said 70% park right? Try the Conflict. Edge Hold existed far before grip tech, magnetraction, and the others. The boards shape, cut, and stiffness all contribute.

Well if you get Forum 50% off get a Westmark and some Republics. Decent set up in my opinion.
