Default 156cm Burton Custom Flying V too long for me?

Greetings all,

I just got a 2012 Burton Custom Flying V (156cm) for a KILLER deal. I wanted a 151 or 154 but they didn't have one. I am 5'7" and 140 pounds but I could always pack on a couple more if necessary. =P I like to ride freeride, but I'll hit some jumps from time to time for fun. I also plan on heading out west to hit some pow.

Question, is the 156 Burton Custom Flying V going to be alright?

Thanks!

156 sounds about perfect for you.

Thanks lonerider. My last board was a 156cm 2005 Salomon Forecast ERA so I am accustomed to the length. I wanted something shorter so that it would be more playful but I guess I'll be getting that naturally with the Flying V.

Yea, the Flying V will make the board feel more playful compared to a traditional cambered board of the same length.

Hey, I used to ride a lot of Salomon boards... including the really old 450 FR series, Forecast ERA and the Daniel Frack model (which I think was a Forecast 155.5) and Salomon Fastback. Great boards.
