hey everyone, just looking to replace my nitro t1. Not in a big rush just looking to pick something up in the next month or so.
6'6" 200lbs 12.5 boot so going for a wide. Wanna hit the L jump line this year, so that is the priority but still want it to be decent on boxes and rails. Also, i would really like some sort of reverse or hybrid camber. Current thoughts. Atomic Hatchet, i know very little about this but seems to be like by most who have ridden it. Not sure about the camber profile, kinda seems like rides new one. Not really a reverse? Lamar Cranium, Ba liked it alot. k2 park star, to soft? Rome postermania (last years unless this years goes on sale.), good board for what i want? Ride DH2 (last year), seems good for what i want. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

If you don't mind a bit of weight, I'd suggest the Bataleon Evil Twin 59 wide or the Riot 59 wide. Both great jump boards and the TBT is pretty great as well. Especially the ET will be decent enough on boxes and rails but not primarily buttery.

You could stick with Nitro and do a Team Gullwing? Hard thing is usually my go to jump boards are flat or TBT.
You could try a Technine Camrock. I don't know if it comes in wide though. I don't know the waist widths of the sizes you'd be looking at, but the Blacklist might be wide enough for you in like 59 or whatever the appropriate size is they make it in. Its a mid wide... All that said, my favorite jump boards have been the Signal Omni, Nitro Rook, Bataleon Whatever/Goliath, or the Nitro Pro One Off 2012's.

i have wondered about nitro but i hate my t1 lol, i think just the side cut. the rook wasn't really an option before but im jaming my 14s into a 12.5 so i guess midwide is now an option. thx for the suggestions.

I loved the k2 parkstar for jumping it was a great board also a flat base. Right now I ride an arbor blacklist, it is a midwide so would work with a 12.5 boot. I personally think I like the flat base just a touch better for jumps.

Yeah Nitro is usually a miss on the hit or miss scale, but when they get it right its usually top notch. The Team Gullwing, Subzero, Swindle, and Team One Offs are the other hits.

oo ride dh2, i rode that thing for 3 days and last season and it was sick. great for speed and jumps and it was a stiffy, not sure you could butter it unless you downsize so that your weight could bend it.
i never rode a tbt or a parkstar, but i did look really hard into some of nitro's mid-wides this year when i was board buying. i would make sure its a true twin if you want to hit park hard. p.s. another 200lb 11-12boot size rider here. |
