how much better does a fresh waxed board feel?

I have riden about 7 days on my factory wax. Last time I rode it felt different to me. It felt like if I rode it flat (not on an edge) it was super sketchy. I fell a few times. Kinda felt like I was riding through mud almost. Is this simply because I haven't waxed it? Also I have gone over 2 rocks and they took a chunk of wax off. Do you think if I get it waxed it will feel like before? Or am I just on crack and was having an off day?

What I wanted to hear man. Appreciate it. Plus factory waxes I hear are just OK and not as good as doing it yourself. Look forward to getting it waxed.

I agree with what every else said. You'll feel a significant difference immediately and on any long flat run-outs the difference will be HUGE. Wax that board!

Awesome. Thank you. I go to school on CO and am back home in TX for winter break. I'll hit up the one snowboard/ski/wakeboard store in my area and see if they have all the tools to do it myself. I can't wait to get back to CO with a fresh wax and some fresh snow and see what it feels like. Everything should be a lot easier.

I start feeling a huge difference after a couple runs. Then its slide like butter on a sizzlin' hot frying pan. Factory wax usually only lasts a couple days depending on the conditions. Get it waxed yo!

My son rides every day, I ride 4-5 times a week. We wax once a week. Usually the first run after a fresh wax is OK, after that it's a noticeable difference.... After 4 days I notice it starts catching a bit.... We just use bulk wax though, maybe mor expensive shit lasts longer, I'm happy though. It's fun to wax boards together with my son
