Thinking about buying this Dakine tuning kit...

DAKINE Snowboard : Super Tune

And it will be my first time tuning my board. Any recommendations on what I may need that isn't included in the kit? Or may need a better version?

agreed. i think irons designed specifically for waxing are a rip off. i have a little travel iron i got from goodwill for $4. it works perfectly.

yeah, the little travel one that i have has a very few amount of holes. it's probably not even expensive if it's brand new. but i'm not going to take the time to look it up because i'm lazy.

I just got one as a gift for Christmas. I think it was 25% off at a local board shop. I haven't used it yet, but it looks like its got everything I need...

The only thing it doesn't have is base cleaner but I don't know too many people that use it.

I say go for it...

I paid 65 at my local shop for that, don't think I would pay more, especially online.

Oh, and it doesn't come with any base cleaner, but I prefer using a soft brass brush to clean the base which it doesn't come with either.

The super tune is great. I just got one for christmas and its a whole lot better than buying every little thing, because it comes all together. I do think that the iron was a little much but ive had problems with regular irons with the venting holes.
