I think the higher end salomons are a great deal...top of the line tech. and a good price. I am on a salomon strobe now and after about 25 days on it from waist deep powder, to kickers it has really grown on me for sure...

i am told by some sales people at the local shop to steer clear of some brands that you can find at franchised sport stores. The reason being their most expensive board is probably still the low end of their professional series stuff, and most likely won't last for the time you wish they do.
I agree that those boards do provide a very reasonable price for beginners on a budget, especially children who are growing wayyy too fast, and fill a gap between walmart and pro-series brands. i, too, also heard that forum isn't as good as they used to be. |

Forum boards..
I just rode a forum seeker 08' 156 at santa fe, NM, nice pow days last week. bombed down blues/greens board held very well at highspeeds. The board has a medium flexibility and the edge held up well on blues/blacks. Overall, im satisfied with this forum board. |
