Setup for Tall Guy w/Big Feet?
I'm a moderately experienced rider who has always rented equipment and I've decided that I'm ready to purchase my own equipment for next season. Here's my stats:
Height: 6' 3.75"
Boot: Size 12
Type: Freestyle/Freeride (All-Mountain)
Location: Southern California (primarily, but not restricted to)
I have at least 5-6 seasons of snowboarding experience, but I've never been very committed to the sport. I'm very comfortable riding advanced runs at speed, but only comfortable with the intermediate park features (hoping on improving). I'd like an All-Mountain type board that will give me versatility, but I usually find that "All Purpose" means "OK For Everything, Good for Nothing". I favor the terrain park and enjoy a great ride on a black diamond run.
I can't help but feel like rentals have been holding me back and I'd like to move on. Can anyone recommend a good length, width, or product to get me started? I just came back from a 6-7 year break and a lot has changed. I'm interested in a full package; boots/bindings/board.
Thanks in advance,
