Default Looking for a butter board...

Yeah, I hate these threads as much as the next guy, but now that SS has many of their boards for half off...figure why not. I don't do much park, but I have another board that works fine for me all mountain, so this board is probably going to be more for green/blue runs where I spend half an hour on a trail just messing around with my friends - they do their 360s and stuff, I do my butters (and maybe a few spins when I man up). I don't want something too noodly, but then again, I'd be willing to give it a shot because all I've ever known is my Forum Directional, which is pretty stiff. I just want soemthing that'll last, but if I'm not really hitting rails or huge jumps, they all should...right?

Planning to keep it under $200, and looking at...
Forum Manual
Forum Youngblood
Ride Kink
Capita Stairmaster
Salomon Drift
K2 Darkstar

I weigh 165, am 5'10", and wear size 10 boots. I'll probably get something 150-153 or so, as my current board is a 154...

...not sure what else. Possibly a Graft, but it woulda been like $225...which I should have bought, but its a bit of $.

I don't think any of those boards are under $200. Are they?

ah yes, the half-off sale. Go for the Rome Graft. Just find it one sale somewhere. Other than that, the Ride Kink.

You guys really think the kink? How well does it hold out on the mountain?

I bought the K2 Darkstar and have been riding on it for 4 days. I don't do any crazy freestyle stuff on it... cause I'm just learning. I mostly try to do ollies, tailpresses, flatground 180s and other flatground stuff. I really like this board over my old Atomic Alibi. It's flexy but is also able to handle the rest of the mountain. On powder days it was alright.. but it took alot of energy to control the board.

I had trouble finding the Darkstar... but if you can find it in the right size and also under $200, then that'd be an awesome deal!

mmm... I just saw that you're looking for 150-153. SierraSnowboard.com only has the 159 Darkstar. You're gonna have a super tough time looking for the 152 Darkstar... especially under $200.

Well, if you already have an all-mountain board, don't go half-assed on this one. Get a pure freestyle deck. It won't hold out on the mountain as good as others, but that is not the reason you are buying it, correct?
