Designing your board
I just thought that some of the people here would like to know the different ways to customize their boards.:dunno:
While I was researching and looking for my snowboard, i decided to look at Riley's blank snowboard, and on the site they had tutorials on how to customize your board. Tutorials - Blank Snowboards I think these are pretty good tutorials, they all have videos with them, pricing, but they don't tell you a specific timeframe of durability. Personally, I would go for vinyl or board wrap. |
Durability is stated at the top of every tutorial. Low, medium or high. Time frame is quick IF they print it right away. Wrapping a board, if the design is already printed can take less than an hour if the person applying it is knows what hes doing.
A wrap should last years unless it takes damage on the mountain. Like from other boarders crashing into you, which would obviously damage the vinyl topsheet |
Looks like inexpensive DIY graphic options. For awareness, though, there are also companies like Donek who will build you a true custom board...length, width, sidecut geometry, flex pattern, etc. to your (or their suggested) specs as well. Topsheet, too.

yeah i wasn't sure how many of us have the kind of money to pay to have custom-made boards:dunno: maybe it's not expensive though. Vinyl topsheets are good enough for me haha.
