Default Ride Yukon Fans-let me hear from you.

I have a good oportunity to grab a ride yukon 164 for $300.00. I'm 6'1" 215lbs sz 12. Love just grooving the mountain. Not into park stuff. There's a burton custom wide 167 right next to it for the same price also. Any advice? Would you change to the burton or are you in love with your ride (till death do we part)? See other post. Great pic of someone making love to the mountain on a Custom.

i'm similar in size to you. 6'1, about 190-195, size 10 1/2 and i ride a 164 santa cruz. you might think about going to the longer board since you're a bit heavier or if you'll be riding pow on a regular basis. if it were me, though, i'd be leaning toward the 164 as a good all around every day board.

I bought a Yukon 164 about a month ago and can honestly say I think it is the perfect board for me. Totally stable, quick from edge to edge and super fast down the mountain if you're racing your friends. I go anywhere from 1 to 3 days a week and getting that board has been the best thing for my riding. I don't do park at all but do get a little air on natural terrain and the board handles everything I throw at it. I'm not bashing the Burton, you'll probably be happy on whatever you end up with, but this is my second Ride board and I think the only board I'd ever leave it for would be a Never Summer Heritage X. Thats mainly for the graphics and not the board though

I can say I'm 95% out the door with the Ride. Thanks for the pos feedback. I too think the Custom is probably a sweet ride and would do just fine. What I like what I'm hearing on the Ride is that its fast and stiff and breaks in well unlike the Custom thats allready pretty flexible. Also heard a few reviews that the custom has had problems with the top lamination. Well I only hope I can get a couple of rides in up on Big Bear before the mountains all bear. Mt High (east slope)is allready dirt. Happy boarding!!!
