ride kink

hey guys i was looking for some help with choosing a board
i am 5' 10" 175 lbs size 11
im still a beginner pretty much and dont have very much experience in the park
that being said i have the opportunity to get a 2011 ride kink for pretty cheap from a friend, from what ive read it seems the kink is mainly just for freestyle riding though.
would i still be able to get around the mountain alright and get a little more experience before i hit the park?
thanks in advance

The Ride Kink is an excellent board to start on. It is playful enough to have fun and progress in freestyle, and it is also stiff enough and is decent for freeriding. All in all it is a good solid beginner board for someone who is thinking of going into the park sooner or later

Kink is a solid deck if you get a good deal on it. It's not that stiff so it'll be beginner friendly for you and when you do get better you can keep that as your main park stick. I ride the Kink and it's good enough to bomb runs so no complaints here.
