Bataleon Evil Twin + SF45?
Looking to butter and as of now my min setup is the 2012 Highlife with Rome Targas on the stiffest setup.
So the ET and Goliath have been the 2 boards I have been deciding between. I have also been deciding between the Union Force SL and the SF45s.
Im about to order my setup right now and I think I am going to go for the ET+SF45. I want to order from Dogfunk so the board size would have to be 152. I weight about 180lbs and Size 11 Boot(width is only 1mm smaller then current board so I dont see that being a problem)
Does this seem like a good choice?
I rode the ET and I didn't find it very buttery at all. It's more of a jump board. If you're looking for a Bataleon board, consider the Airobic. The Flux RK30 bindings should be a good fit.
I was thinking Airobic but have been buttering on my Highlife and I can but its just a little too stiff. I want something I can ride all day normally and butter when I feel like it but it can handle the rest of the mountain as well.
Then you might be fine with the ET, especially when it's that short. I just felt that the camber somehow tries to slam the board back down on the ground when buttering. But if you're used to buttering a stiffer board, give it a try.
Another thought: I know you said the shop only has a 152 but at your weight it might be too small for an all-mountain ride, at least in my opinion. I weigh the same as you and rode the 56wide. I wouldn't have gone smaller. But as always - it's personal preference.
Yeah have at it with the 152 and SF45's.
It's a little smaller than would be ideal for an everything park board for you, but being stiffer in the more jib oriented size you should get out of it what you want.
SF45's for sure on it though. Like hands downs those over SL's.
