Hey guys. I need input on what the recommended board for me is: a Lib Tech Jamie Lynn Phoenix or a Capita Totally Fk'n Awesome. Or maybe some other board like a Yes Big City or something else I haven't considered as much as the other two. (Never Summer SL, maybe?)
My level and stats: 5'4", 155 lbs, Size 8 boots 2 seasons of experience, I speed through greens, and link turns through steep, chewed up blue runs. I can't ride black runs yet without resorting to falling leaf. My terrain: PNW, night time riding, hard pack groomers, often times chewed up and icy due to rider volume. Slushy and sticky when it rains. Runs have varying grades from long flat spots to steeps. Always inbounds. Powder is gone before you know it's there. My criteria: Superb edge hold like I'm on tracks Great stability at speeds > 25mph Easy to turn at slow speeds when going down choppy steeps Go through choppy snow and crud like a tank Hold speed through powder, slush and flat spots No park, just small kickers on the side of runs No butters (Have a Rome Garage for that) Thanks a lot guys! Some might say that those 2 or any aggressive all mountain boards maybe too advanced for my level, but I picked them because I know I'll grow into them. I'm also going back to grad school and will have no income for a new board next year. |

The Lib Tech Jamie Lynn would do great on the ice and at speed but its a pretty stiff and aggressive board for someone who's still on blue runs. Im sure you would grow into it but a better board for you right now would probably something like Gnu's carbon credit.

you wouldn't go wrong with either one. the only real difference between the two is the shape. capita has camber between the bindings and rocker out past, and the lib has the opposite. i've ridden both, and love em both. i ride a t rice and have ridden my brother's totally fkn awesome. you cant go wrong with either one
