Default Board for the GF.. ! Roxy Ollie Pop vs. DC BFF

Hi guys! Sorry for making a new thread.. I've snooped around and have been seeing negative and positive feedback for the Roxy ollie pop but I couldn't find anything about the DC BFF.

I'm buying a board for my gf. She's 5'1, 104-108lbs, size 6 boot, currently riding a 138cm crappy 5150 board . Her skill level is beginner to intermediate, and just the slopes no park at all, ever.

My mate works at the local snowboard shop, and has offered me a sweet deal on the 2010 DC BFF 144 or Roxy Ollie Pop 142 (2010 or older?)

What would YOU get for the lady ?

My g/f has this year's roxy ollie pop and she loves it.
But it sounds like the one you can get a deal on is a few years old, so it may not have c2btx.
I suppose it depends on the deal you're getting. But a lot of places already have 20+% off on 2012 gear.

Ohh yeah its definitely not the one with cb2 btx . I live in Australia lol, and the equipment prices over here are ridiculous.. a board a few years old still goes for $650AU at the local stores.. I'm getting either one of them for $200AU

My daughter has the DC BFF and the Roxy Ollie Pop from a couple of years ago, she liked the BFF when she first got it but once she got the Ollie Pop she rarely rode the BFF. Since then she got last year's Ollie Pop with the C2BTX and loves it but lately it has taken a back seat to the K2 VaVaVoom for days in the park.

From what I've seen, I'd recommend the Ollie Pop over the BFF.

I have last year's Ollie Pop Prizm with the C2BTX and I LOVE IT! The C2BTX is awesome. Would never have a board without it!

I got my GF the Rossignol Diva from last year, it's got magnatrac, and good wood award … She loves it.

Where in Aus are you from? Check out ballistyx or melbourne snowboard centre if you are from Melb. Also eBay is great for some cheap used or new decks. Im thinking 141 - 144 should be a good size, also check out K2 womens boards i hear great things about the va va voom!

Getting my girl the DC Biddy. She's easy going so it seems like a good stick for her.
