Hey guys,
So i went ahead and got my first board, a Never summer SL 158 (seem quite popular around here). I am beginner/intermediate, freerider and some park... NEVER jibs/rails/boxes, there aren't any at my slope at all. Basically, i have heard the bevel is a 0/0 on the NS factory set boards? Should I do anything to resolves this do you think? I don't wanna be cathing edges left right and centre and am told I should have a 1/1 really. Not sure how i do this... Also, alot of people on here seem to say you MUST detune the tail and nose of a new board before riding. I wont be on rails or anything, and in general the nose and tail don't touch the snow. I don't really see why I need to detune them? Again, I want to avoid catching edges too so will detune if necessary. Seems quite simple. I would ideally just ride the board out of the packaging however many seem to discourage this on here. I'm going away in 2 weeks for a weeks boarding so need to sort it before then really. Thanks |

yea, you shouldnt need to do anything to it, just ride it, itll slightly detune itself as you ride it..
but def get it waxed either before you go, or after 1st or 2nd day of trip. the factory wax doesnt last very long at all |
