Question about P-tex repair [pretty urgent]

Uploaded with

This is actually a kiteboard im looking to buy. The damage looks pretty ugly. Is this something that p-tex can repair? Is P-tex permanent?

That's very fixable. Should cost maybe $30-$35 at a decent shop.

It probably wont need a P-Tex fix. Looks like the scratches don't hit the base the p-tex wont hold. Just fill with wax and you will be good.

i dont think that warrants PTex.

I can't fill it with wax because this board is for water (tropical temperatures). It's a kiteboard...

I wouldn't even worry about it, just scrape off anything sticking up with a razor blade. The scratches don't look deep enough for p-tex to hold, it'll just fall off. If you're really want the scratches gone take it to a shop and have them base grind it.

Wax will fill up the scratches too, just don't know how long it will stay in there at warm temps.

What kind of kiteboard is that? The ones I've seen look like wakeboards, or modified surfboards for racing.
