Chips on board.
 

After riding my brand new Arbor Element for a few days, it's chipped on the side. It's gorilla glue+filing down a good remedy for this?

I've used 2 part epoxy for this, never tried gorilla glue.

I take a diamond stone or file and smooth out the nick or chip the best I can before I epoxy it. Then I use the slow setting epoxy (not the 5 or 60 min quick set stuff) and fill in the chip. Let it set overnight, Then file down smooth.

Pretty easy.

I got a small chip i just used fingernail polish..

Is this something you SHOULD do for small chips on the side of your board? I got a few on my new board this season but didn't really think much of it. It's a snowboard; it's going to get nicked up.

If I don't do something with the chips, do I run the risk of damaging the board (i.e. delaminating?)?

Unless you're super anal about that stuff, no.

I mean, take a good look at it. If it looks like something that could possibly delam on you, ya, you might want to epoxy it.

For the small ones though, I just smooth them out with a diamond stone and call it good.

When i get home from boarding, I usually clean up my board and wipe down my edges, so i find it easy to just give the sidewalls a once over right then.
