Beginner looking for a setup - Snowboarding Forum

I've gone snowboarding 3 times and because of the crazy high rental price I think it's time to buy a snowboard, since they're on sale. My budget for the whole setup for beginner-intermediate is $200. I know that's not a lot, but I tend to change sports and I don't want to spend so much.

So I already bought Morrow snowboard boots for $60 on sale. I heard Morrow is lower end, but they fit comfy and as good as any rental ones I've worn. Should I keep them or is Morrow just bad quality?
Also the store has firefly, morrow, and sims bindings for $40 on sale. But once again all these brands are considered lower end, so should I even bother?
I want good quality so that i don't have to replace everything and just wasted my money on cheap shit,and I want to progress, but I probably won't go more than 10times/year.

Nothing wrong with any boots as long as they fit you just right!

For your budget, I'd be tempted to find something used instead. For $150-$200 you could get a great used mid-range board and bindings. Lotsa people seem to like to buy the latest thing, and you can let them pay for the depreciation for you...
