you could definitely go narrower but also could depend on your age weight and length of board.

i have about a 10 inch foot.. comes out to 25.4cm in length..

Maybe it's a fairly common question?

That isn't too wide for you, I'm riding a board with a 246 mm waist width and 7.5 US mens boots. Wouldn't want to go too much more narrow than that. The wider board should float in powder better, but will take a little more muscle during fast transitions. All depends on what you want to do with the board I guess.

Depends on the board. I have the same size on an arbor coda 153. I controlled it just fine being full rocker and softer
