Default New board --> Need waxing?

Hi there,
I just purchased my first board. Can I start shredding right away or do I need to wax it first?

You can shred and you can wax it first if you prefer. Enjoy!

the factory wax should hold up for at least 1-2 days, depending on the manufacturer. with a fresh hand wax you'll probably be a tad faster though.

I usually ride a day or two on the factory wax before I wax myself. It's really just preference.

My advice is always to ride factory wax at least one day. From there, you'll know whether or not you want to wax the board first in the future with other new boards.
