Burton Custom 2009 vs 5150 Stroke wide 2011
Hello, I need help choosing a board. I am 177cm tall, and use 45 boots (12 USA). Im from Argentina, so dont get scared with the prices. Both boards are used. The 5150 is in better shape.
Burton Custom 2009 (162) u$s113. I can have this, but have to search for burton bindings 3D, its hard to find here.
5150 Stroke wide (155) 2011 with 5150 Thermo bindings u$s244. This board is wide, so it solve my big feet problem. This is a rocker board, and I never ride one. Im scared to dont like it, but all the reviews I read say that is easy to slalom, feel like flying, and is really soft. Its 2011 so I think that tecnology would be better than 2009 burton.
I would use it 90% Mountain 10% park.
Im intermediate lvl. I have been riding for 4 years (1 season in snowpark)
What board would you pick? Dont look at price, just tell me wich board is the best.
And please, I know that the Burton fans will say that 5150 is a crap, so I need an opinion of people who sometime had one.
Sorry for my english.
How much do you weigh. Realalisticly neither board is great. Likely the 5150 will fit you best because its wide and you have size 12 feet. If you're over 150lbs it's likely to short, but doable depending on riding style
I'm guessing on the size of your feet that the board that's going to work for you its probably going to be the Burton Custom. I'm just guessing at your weight because you didn't put in on there. I would look for some more options if you could. But your weight and height will help people answer your question.
My weight is 81kg (178lbs). I bought both of them, but I think Im going to take the 5150, just to test the rocker type, and because the size is ok.
What brands are on the level of 5150?
