Base grind vs ptex repair
Hey guys, even though the season has been over for more than 2 months (well for me) I have been thinking about snowboarding a lot. Last trip I did was to Red Lodge Montana to visit my aunt. They had been running out of snow for the weeks before I came, and the cover was getting a little thin. The second day I was there, however it started to dump, and they got 2 feet. I went out into the glades and was having a really good time, only having been in powder a few times, when my board hit a rock. The damage was not extreme, but the scratches I got were perpendicular to the edge, and I could feel the board trying to turn while I was flat basing.I have had a lot of scratches on the board over the season, but most of them have been parallel to the edge.
So my question is: with a medium-deep scratch that does not go away with waxing, is it better to get a base grind or p-tex it?
Just take it to a good shop and ask. Or, it probably isn't effecting your ride so just leave it...
Ok, here is the best answer anyone could give you.

Sportchek will send you 30 base grinds, full tune-ups, even core shots.
You could put it through the Pepsi challenge.
Do each of them separate just to see.
I've all ready signed up twice, I just need to make up some more email addresses.
thank you so much guess I'm getting a free fix :).
