2012/2013 Release Dates?

When are the 2012/2013 models going to be released? Do the 2011/2012 models immediately drop in price when the new models hit the market?

it's possible that some shops already have '12/13 stuff but not widely available. as a general rule of thumb, Burton will start shipping their line in August or September and the other brands usually follow that.

If you have looked around lately you will see that 11/12 models are already discounted sometimes 40% or more. There really won't be another major price drop although some may be availble at steeper discounts, the selection is going to be more and more limited the longer you wait.

Well I had one at easter, it was the 2012/13 ride machete, my dads mate owns a board shop so he let me bring one to canada to test it out
Was also suposed to get a skate banana to test but that didn't arrive in time.
SO it really depends.

80% of impossible is possible.

Production is done overseas for the majority of brands. Then boards are shipped (by boat) from europe (high-end production), from asian south-east/ china or even from africa.
Only local productions can be available before Aug-Oct. For large delocalized productions, maybe they start distributing few samples made locally in small labs... But these should not be part of the new production batches.
