How much overhang is ok?

Right now I wear size 10.5 boots, but I might be moving to size 10 boots because in new Ride size 10 boots my toes just hit the end (so with pack out they should be perfect). My current board has a 250 waist width and to me it looks like the boots hang over too much. I'm looking at buying a new board. Here's the decision I am trying to make.

K2 Darkstar in 157/159 is in my weight range. Waist width is 249/251.
K2 After Black is the same board, only wider, and 154/157 would work for my weight. Waist widths are 259/261.

Does that 1cm really make a difference? What should I do?

Damn, I wish I could delete my own thread. Made a newb mistake of not searching. Tonight when I go home I'll throw the boots in my bindings and see how car I can rotate my current board before the boots touch. Then I'll know how hard I can carve before I touch, which will probably be more than I ever have carved since I don't remember catching my heels or toes ever. I'll also snap some photos of the overhang if my wife remembers to bring the camera home.
