Bought the Rome Agent 158, thanks for the input
Local shop has a K2 Believer, 159, at 50% off. After taxes it comes to about $242. I can get a Rome Agent 158 for pretty much the same price. What would everyone do? I need to make a decision by the time the shop opens tomorrow at 10am. Last edited by livelyjay; 03-27-2008 at 11:50 AM. |

A plus to buying the K2 Believer from the local shop is I would get free waxings for life. I already have waxing for life at another local shop, but this one is more convenient for where I live. I can get the Rome Agent for a little less than the K2. This is a hella tough decision as both are good boards.

Personally i'd get the Agent, because i've heard nothing but great things bout Rome (and they're a great company and im getting one this season
) and nothing particularly great about K2. Also keeping in mind that Rome is a snowboard brand and K2 is a ski brand that makes snowboards. Anyway the choice is up to you either way.

I actually miscalculated the price on the Agent. It's a bit more than the K2 Believer. The Believer got great reviews from Future Snowboarding, is that something to actually believe? The Agent didn't make the list, but the Mod did. Customer service is something to be concerned about, where I think K2 won't be very good and Rome will be at least decent (they took a week to reply to my email about the correct size of the Agent).

Rome Agent = $267 shipped
K2 Believer = $242 with tax ..... damn, still a tough decision. I budgeted $3000 for windows for my house, but it is coming out to $2650, so I have $350 to spend on the board. Should I just eat that extra $25 and get the Agent? Sounds like everyone likes that board better. |
