How do you remove dried hardened epoxy?

I have repaired my snowboard layer separation with epoxy before. I but it has come undone after a trips down the slopes and there is still some epoxy at the Site.

What's the best way to remove and clean the dried up epoxy from the damaged Site before I start epoxying the layers back together?

Grinder, file, pick etc. You need to mechanically remove it.

I did made some epoxy repair to fix nose of my snowboard last season but used plasters for excessive epoxy mess. I would suggest you to use derivatives of ketones to soften the epoxy in theory but not for sure in practice. Good luck..

Good luck! dremel & pick would probably be the best bet.

epoxy does file/sand pretty easily. it doesnt stick to clear packing tape so that works well for masking of areas for the next repair.

Dremel for the win!!!

The OP might need a flexible epoxy for the next repair.

Probably not the best idea as there is still epoxy in there from the original layup that is doing its job. You dont want to make the problem worse by releasing that.
