Looking to buy a new board for this season. Last season I really got into jumping and really had a blast...but I'd like to improve my landings.
![]() Currently I'm on a Ride DH 156. I'm 5'8 180lbs. Should I look for a stiffer board? Longer? What are some board suggestions? |

Soft boards are for buttering, rails, and urban riding especially. Anything the size of a 20 footer or smaller and the board doesn't really matter.

What year is your DH? That's a pretty good jump board actually and a good size for you.
If you really want to try some other stuff I'd look at the Flow Quantum 155, Arbor Del Rey 155, Signal OG Flat 155, Nitro Rook 156, Ride Buckwild 155, K2 Happy Hour 157, Forum Destoyer Doubledog 155, Bataleon Goliath 156 or ET 157, Rome Mod Rocker 156, Echelon Ribbons or Franken (whatever the next size up from the 154 is for both) or a 2013 Yes Great Dudes in 155-157 depending on what sizes it comes in (I think 155). I can narrow it down some if you tell us what you don't like about your DH Also there is a board section on this forum, see if a mod will move this there.

My board is a 2011 model. I actually really like the board. I'm using K2 cinch bindings though, and they are super heavy. I'll probably switch those up this year. Basically, was just checking to see if I was using the right board...sounds like I am.
